Visit to KAMAKURA, impressive spots that I recommend!
The historical place, KAMAKURA, is located near our laboratory in Kanagawa prefecture. It will take me about 40 minutes by car.
This place reminds us of the great prosperities and tragedies of old warrior class in Kamakura period, in A.D. 12-14. There are many temples and shrines; many of them have a lot of attractive treasures, the great Buddha statues, old big trees, a great gate of the temple, and many delightful and historical buildings. I have often visited these temples and have seen many beautiful statues, touched the great trees. Here is the good place to meditate. I would like to introduce my favorite places in this page.

Meigetsuin-temple (" Meigetsu" means the Brightness of the moon in Japanese)
You can see the crescent moon through the circular window over there.
Gongoro-shrine("Gongoro" is the name of the samurai, the warrior)
This shrine is located near the famous HASE temple
I like the atmosphere around this shrine. It is a great hideout!
